Introduction

Artseer specialises in the reproduction of fine art paintings and drawings, providing a full personal service to artists, collectors and galleries.
The service enables artists and copyright owners to profitably market high quality prints whilst retaining control of the original art.

Photography

For best results we prefer to work from images captured by our own digital photographic system, developed during five years' experience in the field.
An important advantage of our technology is that it uses a cold light source, avoiding the heat damage that can be caused by traditional photographic illumination.

Studio Services

Artseer offers skilled tuning and enhancement of digital images, and image restoration for original pieces that have suffered degradation or damage.
We can work from existing photographs, transparencies or digital images, and can supply copies of images on CD and DVD.

Edition Printing

A seven colour printing process is used, with pigmented inks on archival quality art paper and board. This provides intense colour reproduction as well as excellent longevity. The colour accuracy of our prints is guaranteed for 100 years when they are protected and displayed in average interior conditions.
Because we print digitally and can print any quantity to order, the high set up costs normally associated with edition printing are reduced.

The Internet

We offer design and consultancy to artists seeking their own internet presence.
Artseer has set up its own web site with galleries of affiliated artists.
We think it's important to persuade visitors to return to the site, and to recommend it to their friends. As part of this effort the site has art related features in a magazine format of interest to art lovers and artists. The Artseer site brings the work of participating artists to a world-wide audience, without the expense and effort of setting up their own.

Copyright Protection

There is an understandable concern by artists that images in an online catalogue may be pirated, i.e. copied by unscrupulous users. Our advice to artists is that to promote art in any media, copies must be distributed. The benefits of promoting your work in an internet gallery far outweigh the disadvantages of any unlicensed copying. And no one could mistake a poor quality pirated copy for a genuine fine art print.
